Your Morgan Vest kit includes a guided KAL to begin Jan 21

About the KAL

Details emailed to you after kit purchase so that you have the option to join. Sessions will be recorded so that even if you wish not to participate live, you'll have access to the recordings. No pressure! We created the KAL as a support to knit the vest designed for our cashmere yarn.

•Meets every other week beginning Jan 21 (Feb 4, 18, Mar 3)

•Jan 21 topic: body measuring and making the size that fits. Areas of concern: getting the correct bust measurement and armhole depth. What you can do to be ready for Jan 21: knit your 6" x 6" swatch to get gauge. Hand wash and lay flat to dry before measuring. 

•At each session, designer Tayler Harris helps with techniques and answers your questions. Techniques we'll focus on: tubular cast-on, side, shoulder and back of neck seaming, simple cables, slip stitch edges to finish neckline and arm holes completed while you knit - no picking up stitches for finishing. 

•Suggested weekly goals help you complete your vest in 8 weeks

About the pattern

We all need a classic and timeless cashmere vest in our wardrobe. Morgan Vest, designed by Tayler Harris, is a garment to wear over and over. Morgan offers a split hem that is shorter in the front and longer in the back. The versatile v-neck and arm holes are finished as you knit - no picking up stitches required! The vest is knit back and forth in stockinette stitch except for the beautiful front center, where simple cables and garter stitch show off the cashmere's stitch definition and drape. 

Details: The vest is knit in pieces, from the bottom up. The armholes and neckline are shaped using decreases and bind-off stitches. The shoulders are joined using the 3-Needle Bind Off and the neckline extensions are sewn to the back of the neck. The
front and back pieces are seamed from the top of the ribbing to underarms. The edges
of the neckline and armholes are finished as you knit with a slip stitch I-cord edging
